Pastor's Discretionary Fund
Each communion Sunday thereafter we will have a basket for those who feel called to give above and beyond their pledge. This "second-mile" giving will help fund the pastor's discretionary fund, which helps meet community needs as they arise, such as gas, lodging, clothing, etc. Feel free to bring your spare cash and change to help make a change in the lives of those in need.

Christ Has Broken Down the Wall
W&S #3122
Mark A. Miller © 2011 Choristers Guild
1. Christ has broken down the wall,
Christ has broken down the wall.
Let us join our hearts as one,
Christ has broken down the wall.
2. We’re accepted as we are,
we’re accepted as we are.
Through God’s love
all is reconciled,
we’re accepted as we are.
3. Cast aside your doubts and fears,
cast aside your doubts and fears.
Peace and love, freely offered here; cast aside your
doubts and fears.
4. We will tear down the walls!
We will tear down the walls!
God has called us, one and all;
Christ has broken down the walls!
Christ has broken down the walls!

Have Thine Own Way, Lord
UMH #382
WORDS: Adelaide A. Pollard, 1902 (Jer. 18:6)
1. Have Thine own way, Lord!
Have Thine own way!
Thou art the potter;
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me
after Thy will,
while I am waiting
yielded and still.
2. Have Thine own way, Lord!
Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me,
Savior today!
Wash me just now, Lord,
wash me just now,
as in Thy presence
humbly I bow.
3. Have Thine own way, Lord!
Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary,
help me I pray!
Power, all power,
surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me,
Savior divine!
4. Have Thine own way, Lord!
Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being
absolute sway.
Fill with Thy Spirit
till all shall see
Christ only, always,
living in me!

Scripture Reading
Ephesians 4:1-6
CLM Twinkle Gordon
I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.
Prayer for Illumination
Leader: May the words of my mouth,
People: and the meditations of all of our hearts
All: be acceptable in your sight, O Lord our rock and our redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying
TFWS #2193
Lord, listen to your
children praying,
Lord, send your Spirit
in this place;
Lord, listen to your
children praying,
send us love,
send us power,
send us grace.

Silent Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father
who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread,
and forgive us
our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
Lead us not
into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
and the Power
and the Glory forever.
Amen

For the Healing of the Nations
UMH #428
WORDS: Fred Kaan, 1965 (Rev. 21:1–22:5)
© 1968 Hope Publishing Co.
1. For the healing
of the nations,
Lord, we pray
with one accord;
for a just and
equal sharing
of the things
that earth affords;
to a life of love in action
help us rise and
pledge our word,
(pledge our word)
help us rise and
pledge our word.
2. Lead us forward
into freedom;
from despair
your world release,
that, redeemed
from war and hatred,
all may come
and go in peace.
Show us how through
care and goodness
fear will die
and hope increase,
(hope increase)
fear will die
and hope increase.
3. All that kills
abundant living,
let it from the
earth be banned;
pride of status,
race, or schooling,
dogmas that
obscure your plan.
In our common
quest for justice
may we hallow
life’s brief span,
(life’s brief span)
may we hallow
life’s brief span.
4. You, Creator
God, have written
your great name
on humankind;
for our growing
in your likeness
bring the life of
Christ to mind,
that by our
response and service
earth its destiny
may find,
(may find)
earth its destiny
may find.
Benediction
