Pastor's Discretionary Fund
Each communion Sunday thereafter we will have a basket for those who feel called to give above and beyond their pledge. This "second-mile" giving will help fund the pastor's discretionary fund, which helps meet community needs as they arise, such as gas, lodging, clothing, etc. Feel free to bring your spare cash and change to help make a change in the lives of those in need.

God Is Here
UMH #660
1. God is here!
As we your people
meet to offer
praise and prayer,
may we find
in fuller measure
what it is in
Christ we share.
Here, as in
the world around us,
all our varied skills and arts
wait the coming
of the Spirit
into open minds and hearts.
2. Here are symbols
to remind us
of our lifelong
need of grace;
here are table,
font, and pulpit;
here the cross
has central place.
Here in honesty
of preaching,
here in silence, as in speech,
here, in newness
and renewal,
God the Spirit comes to each.
3. Here our children
find a welcome
in the Shepherd’s
flock and fold;
here as bread
and wine are taken,
Christ sustains us,
as of old.
Here the servants
of the Servant
seek in worship to explore
what it means
in daily living
to believe and to adore.
4. Lord of all,
of church and kingdom,
in an age
of change and doubt
keep us faithful
to the gospel;
help us work
your purpose out.
Here, in this
day’s dedication,
all we have to give, receive;
we, who cannot
live without you,
we adore you! We believe!
*Worshipping Song
Come, Now is the Time to Worship
Come, now is the time
to worship.
Come, now is the time
to give your heart.
Come, just as you are
to worship.
Come, just as you are
before your God,
come.
One day every tongue will confess you are God.
One day every knee will bow.
Still the greatest treasure remains for those who
gladly choose you now.
Come. Come.
Come. Come.

Scripture Reading
Micah 6:8
Pastor Donnie Sturgill
He has told you, O mortal, what is good,
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice and to love kindness
and to walk humbly with your God?
Prayer for Illumination
Leader: May the words of my mouth,
People: and the meditations of all of our hearts
All: be acceptable in your sight, O Lord our rock and our redeemer.

When We Are Called to Sing Your Praise
TFWS #2216
1. When we are called
to sing your praise
with hearts so
filled with pain
that we would rather
sit and weep
or stand up
to complain,
remind us, God,
you understand
the burdens that we bear;
you, too, have walked
the shadow way
and known our
deep despair.
2. When we are called
to sing your praise
and cannot find our voice,
because our losses
leave us now
no reason to rejoice,
remind us, God,
that you accept
our sad laments in prayer;
you, too, have walked
the shadowed way
and known our
deep despair.
3. When we are called
to sing your praise
and life ahead looks grim,
still give us faith
and hope enough
to break forth in a hymn,
a thankful hymn,
great God of Love,
that you are everywhere;
you walk the shadowed
way with us
and keep us in your care.
Pastoral Prayer
Pastor Donnie Sturgill
Silent Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father
who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread,
and forgive us
our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
Lead us not
into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
and the Power
and the Glory forever.
Amen

Wonderful Words of Life
UMH #600
1. Sing them over
again to me,
wonderful words of life;
let me more
of their beauty see,
wonderful words of life;
words of life and beauty
teach me faith and duty.
Refrain
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
2. Christ, the blessed one,
gives to all
wonderful words of life;
sinner, list to the
loving call,
wonderful words of life;
all so freely given,
wooing us to heaven.
Refrain
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
3. Sweetly echo
the gospel call,
wonderful words of life;
offer pardon and
peace to all,
wonderful words of life;
Jesus, only Savior,
sanctify forever.
Refrain
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
Beautiful words,
wonderful words,
wonderful words of life.
