Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here but has risen! – Luke 24:5

Beloved Siblings in Christ,

Easter is not just an event—it is a way of life. The resurrection of Jesus is more than a moment in history; it is an invitation to live differently. When the women arrived at the tomb, they expected death but found hope and life. The angel’s message to them is the same message for us: Look for life. Seek resurrection. Step into the new reality Christ has made possible.

But resurrection isn’t only found in grand miracles. It is in the ways we love, serve, and give. It’s in the meals we share, the hands we hold, and the kindness we extend. It appears when we step beyond our comfort and into the expanse of our compassion.

This Easter, I invite you to practice resurrection with us at St. Paul’s UMC. Through your generosity of energy, time, wisdom, prayer, finances, and your spirit, our church becomes a place where new life is made real—where we feed the hungry, comfort the grieving, welcome the stranger, embrace the rejected, and proclaim love in a world that is desperately longing for renewal.

Would you consider making a generous Easter gift to support the ongoing work of resurrection in our church? Every act of giving is an act of faith—a declaration that life triumphs over death, love conquers fear, and God is still at work, making all things new.

As we proclaim “Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen Indeed!”, may we also rise to the call to live as resurrection people—not just on Easter morning, but every single Sunday, and every single day.
I hope you’ll join us throughout Holy Week as we seek the Awe and Wonder of Jesus’ journey—from his final moments with friends to his crucifixion on the cross and, finally, his resurrection and the sight of the empty tomb.

Join us for these Holy Week Events:

· Palm Sunday (April 13) at 9:30am: Triumphant worship followed by a potluck lunch.

· Maundy Thursday (April 17) at 6:30 PM: Soup and service in the Fellowship Hall as we remember Jesus’ last meal and foot-washing.

· Good Friday (April 18) at 7:30 PM: A solemn service reflecting on Jesus’ final words.

· Easter Sunday (April 20) at 9:30 AM: Worship, Special Music, Easter Egg Hunt for kids, and Easter Fair.

I look forward to celebrating the hope and joy of resurrection with you this coming Easter (and every day that the lord allows us to draw breath!) May this resurrection story bring resurrection to your life and to the lives of those you encounter.

“My grandkids had so much fun at the Easter Fair last year - is St. Paul’s doing it again this year?” Of course we are! Jesus has risen and that makes Easter a time for celebration.

Who: All children (and adults too!) are invited whether or not they are church members, visitors, friends or relatives.

What: It’s a fun Easter celebration with holiday and seasonal activities and crafts for all ages. (Did we mention we will have live baby chicks again?)

Where: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Avenue, 80909.

When: April 20th - Easter Sunday, of course! The activities begin right after the morning worship service with an egg hunt and fellowship time.

No matter what church holiday is celebrated, Jesus IS the reason for the season.  Join St. Paul’s welcoming family in celebrating the reason THIS year!
