1. I’m finding myself
at a loss for words
and the funny thing is
it’s okay.

The last thing I need
is to be heard,
but to hear
what You would say.

Word of God, speak.
Would you pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see
your majesty,
to be still and know,
that you’re in this place?

Please let me stay and rest
in your holiness.
Word of God, speak.

2. I’m finding myself
in the midst of you,
beyond the music,
beyond the noise.

All that I need
is to be with you,
and in the quiet,
I hear your voice.

Word of God, speak.
Would you pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see
your majesty,
to be still and know,
that you’re in this place?

Please let me stay and rest
in your holiness.
Word of God, speak.

Would you pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see
your majesty,
to be still and know,
that you’re in this place?

Please let me stay and rest
in your holiness.
Word of God, speak.
Word of God, speak.

*Call To Worship
Nancy Gehrung

Leader: Many people come to church, looking for the truth, but so much of our faith is shaped by phrases or sayings that stick with us.
People: We seek to find truth, but sometimes we fall short.
Leader: Let us re-examine our understanding and find the whole truth in our Lord
People: We come today to worship, to seek God, and to know love.
Leader: This is the day that the Lord has made.
People: We shall rejoice and be glad in it!

*Gathering Song
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Vs. 1-4 UMH #57
WORDS: Charles Wesley, 1739

1. O for a thousand
tongues to sing
my great Redeemer’s praise,

the glories of
my God and King,
the triumphs of his grace!

2. My gracious Master
and my God,
assist me to proclaim,
to spread through all
the earth abroad
the honors of thy name.

3. Jesus! the name
that charms our fears,
that bids our sorrows cease;
’tis music in
the sinner’s ears,
’tis life, and health,
and peace.

4. He breaks the power
of canceled sin,
he sets the prisoner free;
his blood can
make the foulest clean;
his blood availed for me.

Prayer Song
I Surrender All
Vs. 1 UMH #354
WORDS: J. W. Van Deventer, 1896
1. All to Jesus I surrender;
all to him I freely give;
I will ever
love and trust him,
in his presence daily live.

Refrain
I surrender all, (I surrender all,)
I surrender all, (I surrender all,)
all to thee,
my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

Pastoral, Silent and, The Lord’s Prayer
Pastor Donnie Sturgill

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever.
Amen

*Hymn
Sent Forth by God’s Blessing
UMH #664
WORDS: Omer Westendorf, 1964
© 1964 World Library Publications, Inc.

1. Sent forth by
God’s blessing,
our true faith confessing,
thy people of God
from this dwelling take leave.

The service is ended,
O now be extended
the fruits of our worship
in all who believe.

The seed of the teaching,
receptive souls reaching,
shall blossom in action
for God and for all.

God’s grace did invite us,
and love shall unite us
to work for
God’s kingdom
and answer the call.

2. With praise and
thanksgiving
to God ever living,
the tasks of
our everyday
life we will face.

Our faith ever sharing,
in love ever caring,
embracing God’s children
of each tribe and race.

With Your grace
You feed us,
with Your light now lead us;
unite us as one in this
life that we share.

Then may all the living
with praise
and thanksgiving
give honor to Christ
and that name
which we bear.

*Benediction
