Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed thy hand hath provided; great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

HYMN  Trust and Obey             v. 1 UMH #467
WORDS: John H. Sammis, 1887 (1 Jn. 1:7)

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His word, what a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, and to all who will trust and obey.
Refrain
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Pastoral, SILENT, and Lord’s Prayer                      Pastor Donnie Sturgill

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those to trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever.

HYMN  Trust and Obey             v. 2 UMH #467
WORDS: John H. Sammis, 1887 (1 Jn. 1:7)

2. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil He doth richly repay; not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey.
Refrain
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Scripture Reading   Genesis 1:29-2:4; Exodus 20:8-11        CLM Twinkle Gordon

God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all their multitude. On the sixth day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created.
“Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH                      Pastor Donnie Sturgill

We believe in God, The creator of all things and the first mover of everything in motion.
We believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived and created by the Holy Spirit, Knitted together in the womb, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, Died, and was buried; On the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God Until he returns again, We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We are the people of God, We are St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Celebrating the Love of God, Living and creating through the power of the Holy Spirit, And following the teachings of Christ. Together we will work as disciples of Jesus Christ toward the goal of the transformation of the world.
Amen.
