*HYMN Gather Us In v. 1, 2, 4 TFWS #2236
WORDS: Marty Haugen (Matt. 5:13) MUSIC: Marty Haugen © 1982 GIA Publications, Inc.
1. Here in this place new light is streaming, now is the darkness vanished away, see in this space our fears and our dreamings, brought here to You in the light of this day. Gather us in the lost and forsaken, gather us in the blind and the lame; call to us now, and we shall awaken, we shall arise at the sound of our name.
2. We are the young our lives are a myst’ry, we are the old who yearn for Your face, we have been sung throughout all of hist’ry, called to be light to the whole human race. Gather us in the rich and the haughty, gather us in the proud and the strong; give us a heart so meek and so lowly, give us the courage to enter the song.
4. Not in the dark of buildings confining, not in some heaven, light-years away, but here in this place the new light is shining, now is the Kingdom, now is the day. Gather us in and hold us forever, gather us in and make us Your own; gather us in all peoples together, fire of love in our flesh and our bone.

1. Stay with us, till night has come: Our praise to you this day be sung. Bless our bread, open our eyes: Jesus, be our great surprise.
Pastoral, SILENT, and Lord’s Prayer Pastor Donnie Sturgill
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those to trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below: Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise God, the source of all our gifts! Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts! Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Scripture Reading 1 Corinthians 12:12-19
Nancy Gehrung
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot would say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear would say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be?

We believe in God, The creator of all things and the first mover of everything in motion.
We believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived and created by the Holy Spirit, Knitted together in the womb, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, Died, and was buried; On the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God Until he returns again,
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
We are the people of God, We are St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Celebrating the Love of God, Living and creating through the power of the Holy Spirit, And following the teachings of Christ. Together we will work as disciples of Jesus Christ toward the goal of the transformation of the world.
Amen.
