Come and Find the Quiet Center
TFWS #2128
1. Come and find the quiet center in the crowded life we lead, find the room
for hope to enter, find the frame where we are freed: Clear the chaos and the clutter, clear our eyes that we can see. all the things that really matter, be at peace, and simply be.
2. Silence is a friend who claims us, cools the heat and slows the pace, God it is who speaks and names us, knows our being, touches base, making space within our thinking, lifting shades to show the sun, raising courage when we’re shrinking, finding scope for faith begun.
3. In the Spirit let us travel, open to each other’s pain, let our loves and fears unravel, celebrate the space we gain: There’s a place for deepest dreaming, there’s a time for heart to care, in the Spirit’s lively scheming there is always room to spare.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace; where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is love. There is comfort in life’s darkest hour; there is light and life, there is help and power in the Spirit, in the Spirit of the Lord.
Pastoral, SILENT, and Lord’s Prayer Pastor Donnie Sturgill
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those to trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever.

*Affirmation of Faith Pastor Donnie Sturgill
An Affirmation of Faith based on the Apostles Creed:
We believe in God, The creator of all things and the first mover of everything in motion.
We believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived and created by the Holy Spirit, Knitted together in the womb, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, Died, and was buried; On the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God Until he returns again, We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We are the people of God, We are St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Celebrating the Love of God, Living and creating through the power of the Holy Spirit, And following the teachings of Christ. Together we will work as disciples of Jesus Christ toward the goal of the transformation of the world.
Amen.
*Hymn
God Be the Love to Search and Keep Me
God, be the love to search and keep me; God, be the prayer to move my voice;
God, be the strength to now uphold me: O Christ, surround me; o Christ, surround me.
Walking behind to him my journey, Going ahead to light my way, And from beneath, above, and always; O Christ, surround me; o Christ, surround me
Christ in the eyes of all who see me, Christ in the ears that hear my voice, Christ in the hearts of all who know me; O Christ, surround me; o Christ, surround me
*Benediction
