Holy Spirit Prayer, Silent Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer
CLM Twinkle Gordon

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those to trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever.

Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow
UMH #94

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below: Alleluia! Alleluia!  Praise God, the source of all our gifts! Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts! Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Scripture Reading
Psalm 86:11-17 (The Message)
June Cornish

Train me, God, to walk straight;
then I’ll follow your true path.
Put me together, one heart and mind;
then, undivided, I’ll worship in joyful fear.
From the bottom of my heart I thank you, dear Lord;
I’ve never kept secret what you’re up to.
You’ve always been great toward me—what love!
You snatched me from the brink of disaster!
God, these bullies have reared their heads!
A gang of thugs is after me—
and they don’t care a thing about you.
But you, O God, are both tender and kind,
not easily angered, immense in love,
and you never, never quit.
So look me in the eye and show kindness,
give your servant the strength to go on,
save your dear, dear child!
Make a show of how much you love me
so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed,
As you, God, gently and powerfully
put me back on my feet.

Prayer for Illumination

Leader: May the words of my mouth,

People: and the meditations of all of our hearts

All: be acceptable in your sight, O Lord our rock and our redeemer.
And if there is anything that is not of Thee, may it fall to the floor and not be heard. Amen

Psalm 19:14

*Sending Hymn
Children of the Heavenly Father
vs. 1, 2, 4 UMH #141
WORDS: Caroline V. Sandell-Berg, 1855; trans. by Ernst W. Olson, 1925
Trans. © 1925, renewed 1953 Augsburg/Fortress

1. Children of the heavenly Father safely in his bosom gather; nestling bird nor star in heaven
such a refuge e’er was given.

2. God his own doth tend and nourish; in his holy courts they flourish; from all evil
things he spares them, in his mighty arms he bears them.

4. Though he giveth or he taketh, God his children ne’er forsaketh; his the loving purpose solely to preserve them pure and holy.
