July Mission - Ronald McDonald House & Family Room
We provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.
In support of our mission, the RMHCSC cornerstone programs are the Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room® (located in Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs).
Our core values provide the foundation for decision-making and building for the future.
· We lead with compassion
· We are deeply respectful
· We act with integrity
We are firmly committed
Our vision is a world where every family has what they need to ensure the best health outcomes for their children.
Our purpose is to care for families with children who are ill or injured.
Non-Discrimination Statement
As our core values affirm, we commit to aligning our culture, business practices and the services we provide to be a beacon of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all people.
The doors to our Ronald McDonald House® remain open for all seriously ill, hospitalized children and their families, ensuring they are together during a time of medical crisis. Just as accidents, injury and illness are the great levelers, so are dignity, kindness and equity. As a temporary home-away-from-home, families stay within steps and eyesight of their sick child. All races, colors, religions, national origins, genders, ages, sexual orientations, gender identification, gender variances, marital status, military status and/or physical or mental disabilities are welcome in the “House that Love Built”.

Leader: Stained glass windows, vibrant and bright, tell ancient stories in shimmering light.
People: They were the "Poor Man's Bible," for those who couldn't read, revealing God's word, planting faith's seed.
Leader: Like shards of brokenness, brought together anew, our fractured lives, God's grace shining through.
People: Transformed by the light, no longer dim, Reflecting His glory, we shine for Him.
Leader: Each color a symbol, a lesson to embrace, red for Christ's sacrifice, blue for heaven's grace.
People: Green for new life, and purple for royalty, colors of faith, love, and loyalty.
Leader: When sunlight streams through, a beautiful sight, it reminds us of Christ, the true Light.
People: His light shines within us, a beacon so bold, guiding our steps, a story untold.
Leader: So let us be like these windows, beautiful and bright, shining for Jesus, dispelling the night.
People: May our lives tell His story, a masterpiece of grace, for all the world to see, in every time and place.
Leader: This is the day that the Lord has made.
People: Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Blest Be the Tie That Binds
UMH #557
1. Blest be the tie that binds
our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship
of kindred minds
is like to that above.
2. Before our Father’s throne
we pour our
ardent prayers;
our fears, our hopes,
our aims are one,
our comforts and our cares.
3. We share
each other’s woes,
our mutual burdens bear;
and often for
each other flows
the sympathizing tear.
4. When we asunder part,
it gives us inward pain;
but we shall still
be joined in heart,
and hope to meet again.
*Opening Hymn
The Church’s One Foundation
UMH #545
1. The church’s one foundation
is Jesus Christ her Lord;
she is his new creation
by water and the Word.
From heaven he
came and sought her
to be his holy bride;
with his own blood
he bought her,
and for her life he died.
3. Though with a
scornful wonder
we see her
sore oppressed,
by schisms rent asunder,
by heresies distressed,
yet saints their
watch are keeping;
their cry goes up, “How long?”
And soon the
night of weeping
shall be the morn of song.
4. Mid toil and tribulation,
and tumult of her war,
she waits
the consummation
of peace forevermore;
till, with the
vision glorious,
her longing eyes are blest,
and the great
church victorious
shall be the church at rest.

Scripture Reading
Revelation 7:9-17
Ephesians 4:2-3
Nancy Gehrung
After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb!”
And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, singing,
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, robed in white, and where have they come from?” I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are they who have come out of the great ordeal; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
For this reason they are before the throne of God and worship him day and night within his temple, and the one who is seated on the throne will shelter them. They will hunger no more and thirst no more; the sun will not strike them, nor any scorching heat, for the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of the water of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Ephesians 4:2-3

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father
who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread,
and forgive us
our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
Lead us not
into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
and the Power
and the Glory forever.

A Word of Inspiration
Scripture Reading
1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Galatians 3:28
Nancy Gehrung
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot would say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear would say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many members yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and those members of the body that we think less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our less respectable members are treated with greater respect, whereas our more respectable members do not need this. But God has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member, that there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.
Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
Galatians 3:28
There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave or free; there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

In Christ There is No East or West
UMH #548
1. In Christ there is
no east or west,
in Him no south or north;
but one great
fellowship of love
throughout the
whole wide earth.
2. In Christ shall true
hearts everywhere
their high
communion find;
His service is
the golden cord
close binding humankind.
3. In Christ is neither
Jew nor Greek,
and neither slave nor free;
both male and female
heirs are made,
and all are kin to me.
4. In Christ now meet
both east and west,
in Him meet
south and north;
all Christly souls
are one in Him
throughout the whole
wide earth.
